The School of English is delighted to welcome representatives from human rights groups, Amnesty International and Reprieve, to Sheffield on the 18th of May for a film screening and panel discussion of Fourteen Days in May (dir. Paul Hamann), an iconic and award-winning documentary about the death penalty. 2017 marks the twentieth anniversary of its first broadcast on BBC television.
The event is organised by Katherine Ebury and is part of the Festival of Arts and Humanities and linked to undergraduate teaching on Radical Theory and Contemporary Literature. All welcome, free tickets available through Eventbrite.
