15 Questions to ask your new cohort …

To make these questions a little more exciting, I have enlisted my friend to answer them for me.

Where is home? And what do you study?

The Lake District and English Literature.

Where is one place you want to visit in Sheffield that you have not yet?

I would love to walk the Rivelin Valley Nature Trail.

On a scale of 1-10, how likely is it that your room would be featured on ‘Hoarding: Buried Alive’?

Honestly, I would say 1. As a third-year student, I have come to Sheffield as a minimalist.

If you could jump into a pool of something besides water, what would it be?

You know what, it would have to be a toss-up between custard and jelly. If it were solid jelly, the belly flop would be quite an experience.

What is your number 1 Netflix (or another streaming site) pick?

Mindhunter, we love Jonathon Groff.

What was the last live music event you went to?

Florence and the Machine – it was sick.

What did you dream about last night?

I’d watched the first episode of Bake Off, then that very same night I dreamt that I was walking along with a cake (for unknown reasons) – then some ruffian came and thunderously slapped the cake out of my hands. Hurling abusive, they shouted comments about my poor cake. It was traumatic.

If you could study something other than your degree, what would it be?

I would study Art – (injection from Hannah) she is amazing at it.

Are you a fan of Marmite or not?

No, f**k Marmite.

When was the last time you cried and why?

Someone asked me if I liked Marmite.

What has been your best moment so far this year? (2020 permitting)

I don’t know, it has all been a ride of average and it does suck. Although, I will say that the time I got to spend with my family in lockdown was precious to me.

Would you say you are a competitive person or not?

I am so competitive – (interjection from Hannah) she is incredibly competitive, I have vowed never to play badminton again as she scares me so more. Last week, she attempted to make painting pottery competitive.

What is the one thing that you believe will be said about you after you die?

After I die, I would like to think people will say I am outgoing and creative for one. I wish people would say that I am willing to try anything and maybe only slightly crazy and impulsive.

Have you broken any bones and how?

I have not broken any major bones, only my little toe – stubbed in a doorway when I was running around the house with my brother.

How useful would you be in a zombie apocalypse?

I think I would be totally practical in a zombie apocalypse- I am practical and quick-witted! I was a Girl Scout, I know how to make a fire, a creative cook… I got this.
